I had so many of these in the 90s/early 2000s! The whale set was so fun!

The reason barbie got so many horses in the early 80's was because in the early 80's western themed things became very popular with shows like Dallas and the ponderosa steakhouse. Basically anything western or cowboy theme was popular. I remember wearing western style boots was the latest thing. And we used to get cowboy hats filled with candy for Easter. This obsession with all things western lost its popularity in the late 80's.

I had High Stepper, bay watch with the dolphin, spot scene, and then just used original littlest pretty shop animals (before they went all big head). Occasional McDonald's toys also were adopted into the mix. I actually still have them and treasure them but they went absolutely overboard with throwing a pet into everything. Now, the Barbie Extra line was fun and funky and I think that deserves its own little video because those pets were wild! A crocodile, mouse, husky and more. Every time I got an Extra doll I gave the pet to my daughter because they're so goofy and outrageous, they look like they came from their own little universe.

The nostalgiaaaaaa!!!! I had the Bobbin' Bow-Wows Dalmatians, Kennel Care Barbie, and Posh Pets Kittens. I literally played for hours and years with the Sweet Sounds Pet Shop 😍 Never had a Barbie horse; Always wanted one, but the proportions between doll and horse are weird so I get put-off everytime lol. I did have the stable playset where you could swing the food troughs in and out. This worked great with the large Chestnut Ridge Horses. I often wonder where my old toys are now in the world. Hope they are still living and still loved 💛

My sister had Nibbles the horse! So fun! 😂 Also maybe it's just a made up memory, but I seem to remember a horse that had a mouth that would 'eat' things, but it got recalled because kids' hair would get stuck in it 😬 not sure if that was a Barbie product though.

I think I used to have Nibbles the horse, but it came with a stable...? My mum found it a flea market. Before I could even blink she had already cut Nibbles' long manes and tail, to prevend it from tangling xD Also, our cat chewed on the saddle, so I had to use a rubber band to strap the saddle onto the horse. Nibbles had it rough at my house 😂

When I was a kid #JEM was the go to doll. The quality was out of this world. If you haven't heard of #JEM check them out . Jem was a singer and the misfits to collect. I have still got mine sadly in the loft in bits😢

My parents are scaling down, and are giving away my My Little Pony collection. I was not really a Barbie kid. Now I am wondering if I should ask for them, as they include ones from 1986. They have just been really played with.

History of MLP video when?🤭

First generation Anna Disney Store dolls had a bodice that was actually a separate peace from the dress. All later Anna dolls would have the jumper bodice that connects to the dress. First generation Elsa dolls had longer hair, and a sweetheart shape at the top of her bodice which would later become a non-movie accurate straight line. Not sure if this was done to help desexualize the doll or if it was just cheeper to just have a straight line vs a heart shaped sweetheart line. Details were also later removed from Hans, and Kristoff dolls. For example the fur on Kristoffs coat was removed, and the buttons on Hans shirt would later become flat printed details, and not 3dsh. In the US there were also JcPenney Store Frozen dolls which basically used the Disney Store face molds, and outfits, but would remove the elbow and knee articulation.
